Our most ambitious afternoon yet!

A workshop styled Meeting, to be held in conjunction with the Brisbane History Group. It has been billed as an "afternoon about doing the history and heritage of your locality" and as "revealing the essence of the suburb".

The afternoon will also feature the David Hinchliffe launch of various BHG Papers titled Brisbane: Houses, Suburbs, Gardens and Congregations. Key speakers include Rod Fisher, Gerard Benjamin, Gloria Grant and John Mackenzie. The day will also feature an optional guided walk around adjacent precincts./p>

A 12.30 start and a likely 5.00 pm conclusion are proposed. It will include the Society AGM and of course, afternoon tea.

The Society is very heavily involved in the organizing of one quite important element of the Festival and indications are that our Display a will be one of the centre pieces of the day. Already we have booked some great historically minded and related facilities for the Festival, all with great entertainment value. Already a website has been established with some great early material already on. www.teneriffefestival.org.au.
